A walk was arranged for the above date for Members who gave their names who were interested in doing a walk. We met at Blackgang Viewpoint Carpark (3 Members) and took a path inland that leads towards Niton. The sun was shining, but there was a coldish wind. We then crossed the road and walked back along Gore Cliff. We were walking for about 2 hours. We did see a Comma butterfly and also a nice show of Bladder Campion, Red Campion, Alkanet and my first thrift out in flower. The following birds were also seen or heard:
Jackdaw, Carrion Crow, Magpie, Pheasant, Yellowhammer, Whitethroat, Skylark, Meadow Pipit, Blackbird, Dunnock, Chaffinch, Chiffchaff, Blue Tit, Great Tit, Blackcap, Wren, Robin, Song Thrush, Green Woodpecker, Fulmar, Gannet and 1 Swallow. Leader Toni Goodley
