Just a few days left until the very first IW Summer Recorders Event takes place at Dinosaur Isle, Sandown on Sunday 2nd July 2pm – 5pm, so please register and book your place asap.
This is a great opportunity to brush up your species identification skills as we explore the surrounding habitats to collect specimens and return to Dinosaur Isle to examine and identify them.
There will be four workshops running during the afternoon and you are welcome to join any one or two
The workshops are as follows:
– Identifying insects and other invertebrates
– Identifying moths
– Identifying grasses, sedges and rushes
– Identifying mammal remains from owl pellets
Places are limited, please visit https://goo.gl/forms/GzL7125zNu1AqEry2 to register and to make your workshop choices.
Please arrive from 1:45pm to sign-in at the front desk at Dinosaur Isle, the Summer Recorders Event will be based upstairs in the Education Room.
You are very welcome to bring relevant identification books, but keys and guides will be available. There will be complementary refreshments available. There is no charge for the event, however you will need to pay for parking at Dinosaur Isle (£3.40 for up to 4 hours).
We look forward to seeing you there.
