Eleven members met at the far car park at Culver Down on Saturday morning, 15^th August for a casual walk on the Downs. We were hoping for returning migrants. An early sighting was a male and female Stonechat who were very obliging and allowed us to have good views of them. (more…)

There was a good turnout of 16 members for a walk at Newtown National Nature Reserve. We were not quite so inconvenienced by the rain this time. One pulse coincided with a visit to the hide and the second pulse occurred when we were by the boat hut. The tide was low which meant we had good opportunities to study the waders and ducks. (more…)
