The villa will be hosting an exhibition from the British Museum called Hoards: The Hidden History of Britain.
It will run from June 29th to September 28th.
Volunteers are needed to steward the exhibition.
No knowledge or experience is needed as basically you just need to sit in the room and be available.

Last month we looked at the basic beginnings of our species, and what they were doing in Britain in the last half a million years. The other side of the equation, of course, being who was recording these events and trying to make sense of how we all got here. Enter The Archaeologist!
Join the Isle of Wight Bat Group and Isle of Wight Bat Hospital for a special ‘International Bat Weekend’ Event at Appley Park, Ryde later this week on the evening of Saturday 25th August 2018.
This free, family friendly event kicks off at 7pm with the first walk starting at 7.30pm.

The talk on Saturday Feb 17th will be about The Vikings in Greenland and America.

The workshops are fully booked but there will be hands-on activities and things to see during both days.
Please drop in between 10am and 4pm.
Saturday will be particularly good for families but Sunday will also be suitable for all.
The Maritime Archaeology Trust is offering interesting activities with opportunities to learn new skills during the week Sept. 25 – 29.
