Join the botany group’s joint expedition around the centre of Newport to look for plants in flower over the New Year. The meeting will potentially last for 3 hours but there will be the opportunity to take part in a shorter walk. Meet at the propeller at the entrance to the harbour SZ

Eight members met in Bluett Avenue, Seaview for a circular walk in the area. We started off with a sea watch. Although the sea was calm and the tide about half way no divers or grebes were spotted. However, later we did see two Great Crested Grebes. On the breakwater near Hersey Reser
