We are delighted to announce our two key notes speakers for the forthcoming Recorder’s Conference: Jamie Marsh Wilder sites on the Isle of Wight: Nature’s response to rewilding Jamie is Director of Nature Recovery, Wilder Wight and Wilder Seas with the Hampshire & Isle

We will be sorting and cleaning finds from the Mottistone cottage. Meet at 9.30 at Landguard Manor, Shanklin in the car park.  Folding chairs advised.  Please bring old toothbrushes, washing-up brushes and towels if you have them.

We will meet at the cottage near the Longstone to finish current work and clear up the site.  Meet as usual at 9.30 in the Manor car park (or Strawberry Lane if you want a lift) or join us at the cottage from 9.45.

Yellow Legged Asian Hornet Awareness Day To be held on: Sunday 15th October 2023 Open between 11 am to 4 pm for presentations, workshops, information and opportunities to volunteer.

No meeting this week because of other commitments.

Meet on Castle Hill at 9.30 or soon after. We will continue with the geophysics with a small team and, if we have sufficient numbers, the second activity will be a short walk along the Greensand ridge to survey and photograph one or more barrows.
