Sunday, 6th December 2015 Ten members met in Bluett Avenue in Seaview for circular walk on a very windy morning. It started off with bright sunshine but gradually the weather changed to light rain.

Walk from Stenbury Down to Week Down to look at the barrows. Meet at SZ538788. Take the lane uphill from Rew Lane and meet where the track veers right towards the radio station and meets the bridleway.

No group activity this week because of poor weather forecast and conditions underfoot. For details of the ‘Looking at the Countryside walk’ see the main programme.

In recent years, members of the Botanical Society of Britain and Ireland have been out as individuals or groups to record plants in flower on New Year’s Day.

Nine members met at the Car park in Quay Lane for a short walk to the Quay on a very cold morning. The very strong wind kept many of the birds away.
